Since our opening in 1998, we have provided the Collie District Hospital with an on-call doctor for emergencies. The Emergency Department is staffed by nurses that are employed by the hospital. Patients are assessed by the emergency nurse and a doctor is called if it is deemed urgent. Phone advice may be given for treatment and attendance is not always required. If it is a serious emergency, then our doctor can always attend personally and they are never more than 5 minutes from the hospital. Please note, the emergency department is not a substitute for the GP services within CRVMC normal business hours.
