Australians have one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world. Early detection and treatment of skin cancer can improve outcomes significantly.

CRVMC have qualified doctors who are experienced in diagnosing and treating skin cancers. Dr Jan Van Vollenstee and Dr Peter Wutchak have both attended advanced accredited skin cancer courses and are able to see patients for skin cancer assessment.

Skin Check Clinics are held weekly at GP28. If a suspicious skin spot is identified then this can be removed (at a later appointment) at our specifically designed procedural room. If a more complicated or difficult removal is required, this may need to be performed at Collie Hospital Theatre or referred to a plastic surgeon.
