Urgent Care

We Offer Urgent Care Service

At CRVMC, we do cater for urgent but non-life-threatening injuries or illnesses to be seen without a booked appointment and we provide a designated on-call doctor for this purpose from Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm, as well as Saturday 8.30am to 12.00pm.

We offer treatment for a wide range of urgent medical problems including:

  • Minor infections (e.g. UTI and gastroenteritis)

  • Minor musculoskeletal and orthopaedic injuries (e.g. sprain and fractures)

  • Minor burns

  • Minor cuts needing glue or stitches

  • Minor eye, ear, and skin infections

  • Insect bites, stings, rashes

All patients requiring our urgent care service are first seen by our practice nurse to triage the priority. We endeavour to attend to all patients in a timely fashion but there are times when more serious medical problems take priority and this may result in a longer than normal waiting time. We do appreciate your understanding in these matters.

If you or someone you know has a life-threatening medical illness or injury, please call 000 for help or go to the Emergency Department at Collie District Hospital immediately.
